EARMA events are going digital in the first half of 2021. The European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) represents the community of Research Managers (RMAs) working in industry, academia, public and private sectors throughout Europe. It provides a networking forum, a learning platform, and a place to share experiences and best practice among RMAs.
Join the EARMA Digital workshop on 4 March!
The next EARMA workshop will be held online on 4 March 2021 on the ’Future of the RMA Profession’. During the digital workshop invited researchers and RMA professionals will discuss the current role of RMAs, their professional development opportunities, the understanding of their role and the way towards the recognition of the profession. The event will be divided into two panels followed by live questions and answers with the audience.
Virág Zsár, coordinator of foRMAtion, Head of Division at HETFA Research Institute was invited to share experiences and outcomes of the research carried out among RMAs aiming to identify, among others, the main training needs. She will participate in the second panel discussion focusing on the European situation in terms of current RMA training offerings and certification opportunities.
The event will be moderated by Simon Kerridge, Director of Research Policy & Support at the University of Kent, EARMA board member and distinguished member of the foRMAtion Advisory Board. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the experts and share their thoughts on any topics of mutual interest during the networking session following the panel sessions.
Be part of the EARMA Digital Conference where foRMAtion will be presented!
Later on, the annual EARMA Conference will be held online on 14-20 April 2021. Following the success of the previous years, the event entitled “New World, New Programmes, New Challenges” will bring together the most relevant and informative speakers in the field of Research Management and Administration to share their knowledge with the European RMA community.
To the great pleasure of the foRMAtion consortium, the presentation of the project was also included in the program under the title ’Paving the Way Towards the Professional Recognition: foRMAtion educational module and mentorship programme for future RMAs’. The project will be presented in details by Virág Zsár highlighting the gap-filling solutions provided by foRMAtion in the field of educational and training programmes for future RMAs, the professionalization of RMA as well as closing the gap between higher education and the labour market.
The 15-minute presentation, followed by a breakout discussion, will be part of a session on 19 April 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM (CEST). Join us and register at the event website.
